How Does It Work?
Each animal is individually identified with a number. The system works with
every type of identificator (Regular eartags, barcode eartags, ruminal bolus
and even electronic eartags), yet the optimal results are only obtained by
the use and employment of electronic identification.
The animal identification is read by a Data Terminal, which also registers
the weight and other additional information pertaining to the process that
is taking place.
This wealth of data that is collected can also be complemented by
information on the geographic location by using a GPS device, or well by
collecting auxiliary data with the use of mobile RFID readers.
If the system is being used online, the information gathered is
automatically sent to the centralized database and can therefore be accessed
and monitored in real-time, from any PC with internet connectivity. To have
a live visual control of what is happening at the farm, the system has a
monitoring module that includes a hi-tech webcam with 360-degree movement
and two-way audio for you to see and communicate with your employees while
you're away.
In the offline mode, the gathered data is stored in the Data Terminal's
internal memory so that they can later be uploaded to the system from
wherever it is that internet is made available.
Finally, through an intuitive web interface, similar to a homebanking
platform, you can consult all the gathered information, clearly divided into
five main modules for your convenience: Origin, Handling, Health, Nutrition
and Commercialization.
Along with this, a vast amount of reports, spreadsheets and statistics are
generated and available for your analysis.
